Feel free to leave feedback and questions below! I’ve found myself playing roguelikes quite a bit lately. Namely Crypt of the Necrodancer, But, I want to talk about a different one today. GALAK-Z. Think a modern version of Atari’s classic Asteroids but with AI controlled enemies, voice acting and all wrapped up into a set of fictional 80’s/90’s action anime VHS tapes. It’s definitely something you don’t see every day, and that’s why it caught my attention when I saw it in a gaming magazine years ago. After reading that article, I figured it’d be a nice game to try out at some point. And years later, I got a copy of it for free through Reddit user munki17. Thanks again! So, now that I’ve played it for over 10 hours, is it Good, a Fad or just plain Ugly? I’ll be straightforward and say some aspects of this game …

Gotta Catch ’em All! …later.
Pokemon GO! has taken the world by storm. As of this post’s writing (7/13/16) it has only been out for a week, yet I can’t seem to go anywhere without running into it. I was recently doing volunteer work over at UCF, and I had this outside my window. The building I’m in is apparently a Gym. He wasn’t alone, during that one day I saw several students come in and out, all of them holding their phones in front of them. He was the only one to go outside my window though. Now, I could go on about the issues people have had with it’s privacy system, how often it’s showing up in the news, or the best locations to live in in order to catch the most possible. But I can’t, even if I wanted to. My non-smart “smartphone” can’t even use the dang app. As such I’m …
Gifting.
I leave this simple as, well, today (6/29/16) was definitely an odd one. I had plans, glorious plans to record a VO for a video. But, things fell apart rather quickly. I woke up to be greeted by my younger sibling, which isn’t unusual, but what he said took me by surprise. A previously arranged event with one of his friends had been adjusted. It would be taking place at our home instead of his friend’s. This threw me, as I had expected a quiet home. My wish was not to be granted. Instead of starting my day on a positive, my main goal for the day was taken away. The time up until this event was, well…. Uneventful. It went by without a hitch, but I wasn’t able to complete anything I had hoped to. One other appointment I had had to be cancelled as the other party’s device …
PM: Private Message or frowned upon modification?
Last I checked, it was 2016. The internet is something that is completely normal and understood to everyone. Or so I thought. I don’t really expect many of you to understand exactly what this title is referring to. But, the issue it relates to is one that I feel needs to be brought to more people. To keep it short, Project M was a successful (and 100% free) mod for the extremely successful fighter: Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It’s development lasted over four years, (from 2011 to 2015) and the Smash Bros. community constantly kept mentioning how this mod made Brawl more like its more competetive predecessor, Melee. However, my topic comes into play when the Miiverse platform was introduced in 2012. This service is Nintendo’s first try at a social network, and to call it perfect is a complete long shot. I could go on about all of its issues, but that’s not what …
Overwatch: The Hype and the… Hype
WARNING! Long Post Ahead! If you’ve been following really anything recently, you’ve probably heard this title before. Even if you’ve been watching sporting events recently, the ads show up. Being a gamer myself, it’s not a huge surprise that I’m talking about this. Up until today, it was really the game to talk about. (Until Zelda: Breath of the Wild was shown off at E3 today. I’ll talk about that later this week.) However, I’m not here to say that it’s HIGH NOON or that the Calvary’s Here. I’m here to explain exactly how I was able to get my hands on this game, as getting something this close to launch is kinda unusual for me. It was gifted. As of now I’ve only had it for two days. Long story short, the one game that has been often compared to this one, Team Fortress 2, is one that I …
